Salsa has proved a popular pastime in Cold Norton

Nearly 300 people attended the Salsa Luxx launch party, at Three Rivers Golf and Country Club, Stow Road , on Friday night.

And partygoers also tried their hands, and feet, at the Latin dance by taking part in a complementary salsa lesson.

Salsa Luxx is a dance class taught by Salsa Chillout - a recognised salsa dance school in Essex - founded by Yolande Chandler and Terry Lewis, who share more than 19 years of salsa experience.

Browsers can also learn the basic salsa steps with a free on-line lesson.

Mr Lewis said, "We are over the moon with the response we have had and are looking forward to running salsa classes every week at this venue."

He added Salsa Luxx classes will be held at the club every Friday at 8.30pm , with a freestyle salsa until 1am.
