After
the success of Planet Salsa in March, Terry and Yolande
have definitely not rested on their laurels, with the successful
launch of their new Thursday club at Colchester Leisure
World , and the return of Mr Rueda himself, Moe Flex plus
partner Angelique, to Essex with a class and show at Marconi
in Chelmsford on April 21 st .
More
of that later…….
Surely
they can't follow that? Yes they can.
In
May, look out for the Social at Marks Tey on Friday 4 th
, with classes with Chillout founders and nominees for Best
UK Teachers Awards and the UK Congress, 2006 – Terry and
Yolande.
Then
at the other end of the county on Friday 11 th , take a
trip to Stanford Le Hope, where regular guest teacher, Steve
Eden from Kent 's Salsa Sensation will treat you to some
new tricks and dips to add to your salsa repertoire.
And
if that isn't enough!!! The ever popular Frank and Natalie
will be bringing their own brand of salsa to the Marconi
stage with a class and show on 26th May.
If
all this has whetted your appetite for all things Latin
and hot, and you fancy trying out your salsa in sunny Spain
, don't forget there are still a few places left on the
salsa holiday to Barcelona from 17 th to 21 st August. Further
details on the website.
And
in June…..? Just you wait.
And
chat from backstage……
After
a marathon La Rueda class – always great fun, and certainly
“brings people together”, we were treated to the South Eastern
premiere of Moe and Angelique's new show, Fuego, plus a
bit of reggaeton to warm down.
Your
tenacious reporter almost had to glue the effusive Moe to
a seat to get the following, but it was worth it.
“They
are a really lovely crowd,” said Moe, “which is no surprise
as Terry and Yolande are lovely so always attract a pleasant
crowd who are always up for it and have a good time.
“We
decided to do the South Eastern premiere of the show, Fuego
because Marconi is one of the best venues in the county.
“The
big launch of the show is in June, so the Chillouters have
had a taster. But watch out – there's even more to the show
to come”
And
according to Angelique,
“Performing
for Terry and Yolande is always great, and the people who
come here give you so much, and therefore you perform better.
And when you get that from a crowd and it's a genuinely
feel good feeling, it comes out in the way we perform.”
